ACT101: Accounting I

This course is designed to introduce the student to basic accounting.Topics include asset, liability, owner's equity, trial balance, T-accounts, debits and credits, trial balances, and financial statements, adjusting entries, journalize and post closing entries, preparing post-closing trial balances, bank accounts, and cash funds, employee earnings and deductions. Upon completion of this course, students should be able to post journals, develop trial balances, post closing entries, adjust entries, and hand bank accounts and calculate and post employee rates of pay and deductions and prepare financial statements.
