SCI313: Environmental Studies
Prerequisite(s): ENG121

This course presents the complex relationship between human technological advancements and the need to use finite resources wisely. Topics include human population dynamics, industry impacts, the role consumerism plays in the ecosystems and the limited resources available. Upon completion of this course, students should be able to describe the interrelatedness of ecosystems, human population and energy resources, and identify ways an individual can affect pollution and the depletion of natural resources. This course requires a research paper or project.
