HIS107: American Government

This course is designed to present students with a history of American government. Topics include the federal system, political parties, nominations and elections, the legislative, executive and judicial branches, civil liberties and civil rights. Upon completion of the course, students should be able to trace the development of the U.S. Constitution, understand and analyze issues in American government, and discuss the policy-making process.
