HCD130 - Patient/Human Relations

This course familiarizes students with customer service techniques and emphasizes the changing behaviors and thought patterns of the ill patient. Topics include patient motivation, verbal and nonverbal communication, problem ownership, client/provider relationships, stages of sexual development, conflict resolution, and supervisor relations. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to interact with all patients, staff and coworkers in a manner that conveys respect.
